The 2009 Summit www.yourkidontheweb.com held on October 16th, was again a success! Michelle Garcia, our keynote speaker from the Stalking Resource Center was very well received with her talk on stalking among youth with an emphasis on how technology is used to stalk among that age group. Break-out sessions were also well attended. Claire Bradley from the Kitsap County Deputy Prosecutor spoke about "Kitsap County Special Assault Protocol on child abuse and neglect". Jennifer Forbes from our own R.E.S.P.E.C.T. committee spoke on "Difficult Conversations: How to talk with Kids about Risky Behaviors".

Honey Baked Ham did another fantastic job with the lunches and the Soroptomist donated their time and money to provide yet another fabulous breakfast and afternoon snack!

Beth Allen with Cookie Lee Jewelry, Carol Cates with Scentsy, Jennifer Miller with homemade Gourmet & Donna Cemulini with Mary Kay were all on hand to offer great deals AND donated a portion of income back to the Task Force!

Our Silent auction was a giant success thanks to so many wonderful donations by individuals and businesses. A special thank you to Mike Etgen who organized through www.washingtonflyfishing.com donations of handmade flies AND brought in bids that made up over half of our total donations!
