The ALIVE Shelter is a confidentially located home in the Kitsap County area. Operated by the YWCA, the ALIVE Shelter staff have been serving abused women and their children since 1978. While at the home, they help each woman explore the best ways to begin a safe life for her and her family. They strive to provide an environment that nurtures empowerment, self-esteem, and self-worth. They are committed to providing a multi-cultural and diverse program responding to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of all battered women in our community.
The YWCA/ALIVE Program staff are a group of caring and qualified people who want to help you through the fear, hurt, and confusion. They can provide the following domestic violence response services in Kitsap County:
Groups are provided at no cost. Pre-screening is required. Child care is also available during groups at no cost. Call ahead to make arrangements.
