Meeting call to order at 2:05 PM by Oudy Acosta Perez, second by Johanna Hansen- Keller.

Minutes:
John Wise: West Sound Treatment Center has broken ground on new location in Port Orchard, WA. The new building will be approximately 4500 sf. The facility will continue to provide Chemical Dependency Counseling, Abusers Program, in the process of adding the following services: ADIS, Mental Health Counseling and Domestic Violence Perpetrator's Program. John stated funds for fiscal year 02-03 for Title IX have been exhausted and at this time services will continue to be provided under other funds. W.S.T.C. lost approximately $32, 000.000 in funding as of today and possibly will loose more in the near future.
Oudy Acosta Perez- Advantages Counseling has a Hispanic counselor named Ruben Romero for ADIS and chemical dependence/abuse treatment classes. This is a great addition to El Centro de la Familia right downtown City of Bremerton.
Johanna Hansen-Keller: Bremerton Health Department continues to seek funds to support the project started at El Centro de la Familia educational classes in the Spanish language. The need is greater at this time. No D.V. education and funds are low. Johanna stated that Miriam White has agreed to work with Health Department and El Centro to put together a fact /data sheet with the current needs of Hispanic population. Interpreter services remain an issue. Community agencies continue to call with request for interpreter services in order to gather information / complete application/ make contact with victims. Johanna still seeking funds for 2003-2004 fiscal year for continued services al El Centro.
Three reports have been made to Minority Community to inform on incidents were in two-interpreter services were not located/facilitated by law enforcement agency responding to call and one African-American female reported racial comment being made in the process of a traffic stop by law enforcement agency in Port Orchard, WA. This information has been forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agency and to Clair Bradley of SAIVS.
