Tracking statistics are an important part of meeting our community education goals and satisfying our funding sources. You can complete the forms online and print to your local printer, then mail them or you can fill them out, save under a new name to your local hard drive and send the form by attaching it to an email to the KCDVTF. YWCA, Bremerton WA 4 PM
Present: Carol Lynn Etgen, Crystal Gray, Barbara Chandler-Young, Ronnie Mullins, Kellie Pendras, Jackie Brown, Pam O'Neil-Allen, and Joan Taie, Administrative Assistant.
The meeting was called to order at 4 PM by Carol Lynn Etgen
Minutes for March and April 2010 were not approved as a quorum was not present Volunteer timesheets were filled out and given to Joan.
Financial Report
Joan presented the April 2010 Financial report. The Financial report was not accepted by the Board as a quorum was not present.
Committee Reports
Program/Community Outreach: The DV Summit is Friday October 15, 2010 at the Jackson Park Community Center in Bremerton. We want to invite a Legislator or someone from WSCADV to speak and share briefly with the participants about the new domestic violence laws that were passed during the 2010 session in Olympia.
Faith Community Action Group: Tom Stokes will be attending the Chaplains breakfast on Thursday May 13, 2010. He will share about the goals and mission of the KCDVTF.
Triple Play: No report
Respect: A resource table was set up at the National "Stand Up For Kids" 48 hour event at the Silverdale Waterfront Park. Agency resources were available to the homeless teens in Kitsap County. Food, clothing and hygiene packs were given out.
Minority: No report
Membership: We have 5 openings for new board members at this time.
Old Business: The Fundraiser event for Applebee's was held on May 6, 2010.
New Business: The Comedy Fundraiser show will be June 12, 2010 at Cloverdale in Bremerton. Our goal is to sell 100 tickets to the event. The upcoming guest speakers for the DV Summit were discussed. We will check to see which one of the 3 speakers on Elder Abuse will be available for the summit. The Soroptimist Port Orchard branch will be providing the breakfast again this year.
