Tracking statistics are an important part of meeting our community education goals and satisfying our funding sources. You can complete the forms online and print to your local printer, then mail them or you can fill them out, save under a new name to your local hard drive and send the form by attaching it to an email to the KCDVTF. Crossroads Church, Bremerton WA
Present: Crystal Gray, Barbara Chandler-Young, Kellie Pendras, Ronnie Mullins, Carol Lynn Etgen, Jackie Brown, Sue King, Pam O'Neil-Allen, and Joan Taie, Administrative Assistant.
The meeting was called to order at 4:15 PM by Carol Lynn Etgen
Minutes for January 2010 were not approved as a quorum was not present. Volunteer timesheets were filled out and given to Joan.
Financial Report
Joan presented the January 2010 Financial report. The Financial reports were not accepted by the Board as a quorum was not present.
Committee Reports
Program/Community Outreach: No Report
Faith Community Action Group: No Report
Triple Play: Possible meeting on 3/10/10. No RSVP's received yet.
Respect: The Teen Dating Violence Workshop was held at Olympic College on 2/19/10. We had 26 participants. It was suggested that we change the format for the next event in February 2011. Possibly have a teen survivor speaker.
Treatment Provider: Meeting was held on Wednesday 2/17/10 at the SAU building in Port Orchard. There was discussion on making a universal form for the treatment providers to use to track the progress of offenders who receive services from different providers. Due to economic cutbacks in their department, this form will help Probation make a consistent judgment if the offenders are in compliance.
Minority: No Report
Membership: We are down 3 positions. Jody Stewart, Jolene Culberson, and Kate Sigafoo have stepped down from their board seats. Thank you all for your dedication and valued help with the Kitsap County Domestic Violence Task Force. We have one applicant who is interested in joining the board.
Old Business:
We discussed attendance at our board meetings. Suggestions were given on how members could be more active or give their quality service to other areas of the board.
The date for the April 2010 Quarterly Meeting has to be changed. The Jackson Park Community Center is not available on 4/27/10. Barbara Chandler-Young will talk with our guest speaker; Dr Todd Dale and ask if he is available on Thursday 4/29/10.
We discussed the Domestic Violence Summit and the date will be Friday October 15, 2010.
New Business:
Our retreat will be held in the Mayor's Conference Room at the Norm Dicks Government building on Friday March 12, 2010.
Two new Executive Board members; Carol Lynn Etgen; Chair, and Pam O'Neil-Allen; Secretary will be added to the KCDVTF bank account. Their signature cards will be filed at Kitsap Bank.
We have two new fundraisers events. The Applebee's event will be all day on Thursday March 11, 2010 and Thursday May 6, 2010. Applebee's will donate 15% of the proceeds to the KCDVTF. E-Bay customers can donate a portion of their sales directly to the KCDVTF. The flyers have been completed and will be distributed.
