BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING- December 17, 2002 Noon.
Silver City Brewery, Silverdale

Board Members Present: Denise Thomson, Susan Vitale-Olson, Ramalina Steiner, Martha Voorhees, Dayle Crane, Debbie Brockman, Tracy Flood, Pete Ball.

Board Members Excused: Helen Todhunter, John Wise, Laurie Adamson, Claire Bradley & Sue Shultz.

Board Members Not Excused: Marilyn Wandry & Martin Knott.

Others Present: Joan Taie (Administrative Coordinator).

Debbie Brockman called the meeting to order.

I. Approval of Minutes: Minutes were approved as amended for November (Tracy and Pete changed to excused).

II. Financial Report: Volunteer sheets were turned in. P&L was passed out.

III. Committee Reports A. Program - No meeting the month of Dec. Working on Summit 03 and a speaker for the Quarterly that will work into the Summit theme. Program meeting time has been changed to 11:30 instead of Noon for this next year. The next meeting will be on 1/17/03 and the quarterly is on 1/28 at the Silverdale Lutheran Church.

C. Speakers Bureau/Trainings - No report.

2. Topic Specific Workgroups

a. Bridging the Gap: Next meeting is in Jan. Still working on a way to issue no contact orders from jail. These would be a condition of their release but not a court order.

b. Faith Community Action Group: No report.

c. Substance Abuse Providers: Mary Ellen de la Pena is working on refining the survey.

RESPECT Kitsap Youth: The Youth commission is printing 10,000 brochures for the RESPECT group. The group is working on dispersing plans.

d. Perpetrator Treatment/Victim's Services: No Report

e. Minority Services - No report

f. Legislative update - No report

g. Membership -Executive member nominations are: Martha for Treasurer and Sue Shultz as Vice-Chair.
