BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
December 16, 2003 Noon
Twetens Lighthouse, Port Orchard

Board Members Present: Sue Shultz, Debbie Brockman, Kelly Pelland, Sandy Robbins, Oudy Acosta Perez, Laurie Adamson, Susan Vitale-Olson, Susan Dewees, Lauren Fanning, Tracy Flood & Martha Voorhees.

Board Members Excused: Dave Bell, Dave Skelton, Claire Bradley,

Sue Shultz called the meeting to order.

I. Approval of Minutes: Minutes were approved with changes for November.

II. Financial Report: Volunteer sheets were turned in. P&L was passed out and explained.

III. Committee Reports

Program -Quarterly - Program mtgs. Will be held on the 3rd Tuesday starting with Jan 20th. The quarterly will be held on February 24th, board meeting at 5pm and quarterly at 6:30. The regular board meeting will be held in January on the 27th at noon at the health dept. We plan on passing out flyers through the Associations. Sue S spoke with the President of the LE Assoc. and he said that would be fine.

Community Education

A. Speakers Bureau/Trainings -Claire had her baby! Mary Ellen de la Pena wanted us to do State Wide Training sometime this year. SVO is going to follow up with her.

2. Topic Specific Workgroups

a. Bridging the Gap: No Report.

b. Faith Community Action Group: Had an inquiry from a CA task force, Laurie is contacting them.

c. Substance Abuse Providers: Did a presentation for the Y last month but have not had a meeting recently. RESPECT Kitsap Youth: This Friday's meeting will be at the Poulsbo Café but will be at the original location after that. Went to "Underage Drinking" presentation at the Presidents Hall. More brochures are being printed with correct phone numbers. They are being funded by our OMC grant.

d. Perpetrator Treatment/Victim's Services: Ron Lezcano from CPS met with TX last month at the DV/Perp/TX Coalition.

e. Minority Services - Close to completing our parenting program. Waiting for information from Commissioner about submitting info regarding the Tribal no contact orders not being processed by the county for 15 days.
