Present: Joyce Figueroa de Raschke, Barbara Chandler-Young, Jolene Culbertson, Carol Lynn Etgen, Jackie Brown, Tom Stokes, Jody Stewart, Pam O'Neil-Allen, and Joan Taie, Administrative Assistant.

The meeting was called to order at 4:15 by Joyce Figueroa de Raschke

Minutes for June, July, and August were approved as written.

Financial Report

Joan presented the August Financial report. There was a discussion re; income, what we made on the picnic, what we hope to make on the Summit and money we plan to spend in the up-coming year. The Financial reports for June, July and August were accepted by the Board.

Committee Reports

Program/Community Outreach: Barbara and Jody will speak at the SAAB on 10/23/09.

Faith Community Action Group: Jackie reported; no meeting.

Triple Play: Barbara reported; nothing specific to report. Hopes to get some ideas/interest at the up-coming state wide meeting.

Respect: Pam reported. The Dating Violence posters are distributed. There will be a Dating Violence Workshop at Olympic College (OC) on 2/19/10. A training is set-up for the staff at Juvenile Detention. Goals for the up-coming year: Provide presentations for classes at OC. Work on resources that are specific to males. Have a speaker from the Seattle PD speak at a Quarterly about stalking. Provide outreach to the Washington Youth Academy.

Minority: Joyce reported; no meeting.

Membership: Joyce reported that she has one application for a Board vacancy. Pam will take over as secretary since Jolene will not be able to remain on the Executive Committee due to a job change.

Old Business:

Summit: Carol's husband has friends who are donating 3 boxes of hand tied flies (fishing lures). Joan has arranged for donations for DVTF with Albertson's and will have the forms at the Summit for people to fill out in order to participate in this. Joan did a press release about the Summit.

Each member will need to bring a case of pop and ice/coolers to the Summit.

Joyce said the poll of the membership indicated that folks wanted to keep the same day and time for the meetings.

Jackie and Pam were each awarded $100. for scholarships for a DV conference.

Carol is working on the bylaws and hopes to have them available electronically so we can each provide feedback.

New Business:

The Poulsbo Rotary would like to partner with the Task Force to re-do our Resource Brochure.

Joyce challenged each Board member to look for Grants that will work for the Task Force.
