KITSAP COUNTY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TASK FORCE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
Sept. 23, 2003 Noon
Kitsap County Health District
Board Members Present: Tracy Flood, Lauren Fanning, Sue Shultz, Kelly Pelland, Susan Dewees, Susan Vitale Olson, Laurie Adamson, Sandy Robbins, Oudy Acosta Perez, Dave Skelton.
Board Members Excused: Debbie Brockman, Claire Bradley, Martha Voorhees, Dave Bell.

Sue Shultz called the meeting to order.
I. Approval of Minutes: Minutes were approved for August.
II. Financial Report: Volunteer sheets were turned in. P&L was passed out.
III. Committee Reports
Program - Set-up will begin at 7AM for the Summit. Everyone needs to wear something purple. Kelly is asking Russ Hauge to speak at the Summit. We will be bringing the purple pigs for donations.
A. Community Education
B. Speakers Bureau/Trainings - Spoke at the NW Counseling Meeting about Summit and the group was interested in more training.
2. Topic Specific Workgroups
a. Bridging the Gap: No report
b. Faith Community Action Group: At the NK Interface Alliance, 25 attended and 500 brochures were distributed. 10/21 8:30 - 12:30 free training includes lunch, at the YWCA - anyone is welcome but it is geared toward church leaders.
c. Substance Abuse Providers: No report
d. RESPECT Kitsap Youth: The training for the Juvy has started back up. The drama group is going to be getting local news coverage while at the Summit performing. Candy will introduce them.
e. Perpetrator Treatment/Victim's Services: Reviewed TX agreements & policies.
f. Minority Services - Minority services is working on securing services. The KCDVTF board voted yes to allocating funds ($3,000) toward service at El Centro de La Familia's educational program for Hispanic families. $2,000 will be coming from Community Mobilization Funds and the DVTF will add an additional $1,000.
g. Membership -
IV. Old Business - We will begin looking for office space again. At least enough for storage of all our publications, videos, old files, etc.
New Business - Oudy Acosta Perez and Dave Skelton have again (in Oudy's presence) been voted in as co-chairs of the fundraising committee.
