Tracking statistics are an important part of meeting our community education goals and satisfying our funding sources. You can complete the forms online and print to your local printer, then mail them or you can fill them out, save under a new name to your local hard drive and send the form by attaching it to an email to the KCDVTF. Board members present Sue Shultz, Susan Dewees, Steve Garcia, Joyce Figueroa de Rashke, Jolene Culbertson.
Board members not present: Lynda Walters, Oudy Acosta Perez, Benny Myers & Rebecca Jones Garcia.
Others present: Joan Taie, Administrative Assistant.
Sue Shultz called the meeting to order.
June minutes were approved.
Financial report: Financial report was handed out.
New executive board members were voted in as follows: Jackie Aitchison; Chair, Sue Shultz; Vice Chair, Joyce Figueroa de Raschke; Secretary & Susan Dewees; Treasurer.
Committee reports:
Program/Community Outreach- Summit Agenda was discussed and will look like this: 8:30-9 registration/breakfast/network. 9-9:15 Sue with intro of board. 9:15-10:15 taproot play. 10:15 - 10:30 break and 10:30 to noon breakout session #1. Lunch from noon to 1 and then 1-1:30 play. 1:30 to 3 breakout session #2. 3-3:15 break and 3:15 awards and closing. Susan is working on kids witnessing DV . Sue Shultz is working on mandated reporting. There are issues with the Summit links on the website and Joan will talk to Dayle about correcting them. Steve thinks the zip code and address needs to be added of the church. Joan is going to get a press release and the advertising in papers done. Joyce is working on reader boards again and she will email/write for donations from Rotary's Lions clubs etc. Mail out flyers to all our mailing lists and also we should get some to the schools.
Financial: Joan is to email copies of the grant to the board.
Bridging the Gaps: no report
Faith Committee: No report.
Respect group: Off for summer.
Minority Services: No report
Medical: working on needs assessment with the community.
Perpetrator/TX: Steve emailed out minutes.
Kitsap Advocate Group: Have not met for several months but Susan D is working with the C B's regarding the Silhouettes. The board voted unanimously to allow a budget for paint/supplies needed to complete the silhouettes of $350 ($175 left for supplies and $150ish for paint). Susan is going to try to get it donated first. Parker Lumber is already donating $150 worth of material.
Alumni: Susan Dewees reported that some of the Alumni felt that they were not welcome and that is why they have not been participating in anything. Jolene is going to contact them and see if they want to take part in any of the committees.
Membership committee: Sue Shultz is going to work on letters to law enforcement and fire/emt's asking for board participation.
New Business: always reply to all on emails to board so everyone can see it. Board meetings have been changed to 3rd Tuesdays now so the whole board can attend. Steve has been voted in as Vice President.
