Tracking statistics are an important part of meeting our community education goals and satisfying our funding sources. You can complete the forms online and print to your local printer, then mail them or you can fill them out, save under a new name to your local hard drive and send the form by attaching it to an email to the KCDVTF. YWCA, 4-6 PM
Present: Joyce Figueroa de Raschke, Crystal Gray, Barbara Chandler-Young, Jolene Culbertson, Kate Sigafoos, Kellie Pendras, Carol Lynn Etgen, Jackie Brown, Jody Stewart, Pam O'Neil-Allen, Joe Dudley and Joan Taie, Administrative Assistant.
Guests: Marlene Mitchell, Poulsbo Rotary
The meeting was called to order at 4:15 by Joyce Figueroa de Raschke
Introductions were made. Minutes for May and June were approved as written. Volunteer timesheets were filled out and given to Joan.
Financial Report
Joan was not able to print the financial report so it was tabled until next month.
Committee Reports
Education: No report.
Perpetrator Treatment / Victim's Services: No report. There was a suggestion that this group be combined with Triple Play since this group had good attendance in the past. It will be considered.
Faith Community Action Group: No report.
Triple Play: (4th wed) Barbara reported. The next meeting will have a speaker from PCAP (Parent Child Advocacy Program?) and Karen Foley from the State organization of Triple Play plans to attend.
Respect: (2nd tues) Pam reported and distributed copies of the Teen Dating Violence video and requested the authorization to purchase CDs to make 100 copies of the video. Authorization was approved.
Minority: Jody reported that she went last month and it was very active. They are getting ready for an "Immigration Fair" at OC on 8/28/09 from 10-3 pm.
Membership: No report.
Old Business:
Picnic: Board members need to bring pop. Joan will check with the bottling companies and let members know how much pop to bring.
Joyce is obtaining gift cards from different areas that we can use as Raffle prizes and she submitted proclamations to the county that will be read at the Commissioner's meetings.
Carol will put out the picnic info on BKAT's rolling announcements.
Plan supplies to feed 400-500 folks.
DVTF people be there at 4 PM unless you need to be there earlier to watch the dunk tank.

It is important that you let Joan know what you have accomplished so that she can pass it on to the board. That will keep us from duplicating. Also, remember to bring an ice chest and 2 bags of ice. We now have 8 confirmed dunkees... Remember there are lots of hungry people this year due to the recession so go for as much stuff as possible! We usually run out with 300 so try for 400+. And don't forget to pass out your picnic flyer (attached).
Summit Keynote speaker from the Stalking Center has been arranged. We need other speakers for the afternoon breakout sessions (4 sessions). Suggestions should be sent to Jolene. I sent out 2 requests today (7/16/09).
It was agreed that we would continue to use Honey Baked ham for the lunch meal. ?Joan is arranging?
Vendors were discussed and silent auction items were discussed. Joyce and Barbara are working on these.
New Business:
Marlene Mitchell spoke about the Poulsbo Rotary, their commitment to assist DV victims and that she is here today to gather info.
Pam mentioned the West Sound Safety and Health Fair is happening in August and passed around a flyer. The Board voted to participate and to try to partner with the YWCA again this year in sharing a booth/table. Carol agreed to organize this.
