BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
January 27, 2004 Noon

Board Members Present: Sue Shultz, Kelly Pelland, Sandy Robbins, Oudy Acosta Perez, Laurie Adamson, Susan Vitale-Olson, Susan Dewees, Lauren Fanning, Dave Skelton, Martha Voorhees.
Board Members Excused: Claire Bradley, Debbie Brockman, Dave Bell & Tracy Flood

Sue Shultz called the meeting to order.
I. Approval of Minutes: Minutes were approved for December.
II. Financial Report: P&L was passed out and explained. Gender & Justice grant was received to cover Jackson Katz fee. Volunteer hours need to be documented. Anytime you work on DV issues - on or off the job please track them for the Task Force.
III. Committee Reports
Program -Quarterly - Quarterly is going to be changed to legislation information. Sue & Debbie are meeting with the Guild Reps to confirm.
Community Education A. Speakers Bureau/Trainings -Speaking to Group Health (Dr's, PA's etc.) in March. SVO is going to follow up with Mary Ellen about statewide training.
2. Topic Specific Workgroups a. Bridging the Gap: No Report.
b. Faith Community Action Group: No report
c. Substance Abuse Providers: No Report
RESPECT Kitsap Youth: February 13th Sklallum Youth Conf. Respect group youth drama will perform their play.
d. Perpetrator Treatment/Victim's Services: no Report
e. Minority Services - Parenting program is starting. Parent classes are on Monday from 2-4 and are 12 weeks long. 12-2 on Monday is victim services and Tuesday 12-4 is well baby health

V. New Business - Crime Victims Rights Week is 4/18 - 4/24 Crime Victims Office is setting up a booth at the Mall that week and would like volunteers to staff it on Sat. 24th from DVTF.
VI. Dave Bell & his wife gave birth to twin girls January 23!
