Financial Report

Community Outreach--KCDVTF advertising in the community:

At last meeting in April, it was pointed out by funding services that KCDVTF needs to advertise more about who we are and about our work in the community.

KCDVTF had a table advertising who we were at the Community Fun Night, and the table look very sad**

Steve did some research regarding the purchase of the following items so we can have a professional appearance when we advertise in the community: folding table ($40), 6' banner ($289), board display ($400), coverings for the folding table ($224), to put KCDVTF design on the covering ($90), a roll-up banner that would list subcommittees of the task force that sits on the floor, 79in x 31in (price to be determined)

It was also agreed the task force should have T-Shirts with logo (to be worn at events), Bumper stickers, window clings (for businesses to put in their windows when they contribute to the task force), pencils, pens, key chains or other such to be distributed in the community at events

It was motioned and seconded for each board member to purchase name tags (approx cost $11) to be worn at events; Steve Garcia will purchase and be reimbursed by each board member; tags will say: Board Member KCDVTF; in black and gold

It was motioned (by Kevin Cure) and seconded (by Steve Garcia) and voted to allot $1,500 to be used for advertising materials; the task force will prioritize and purchase the following items to have before the picnic on July 17:

2 plastic banners (Steve Garcia will purchase)
2 Folding table (Jody Stewart will purchase for task force)
Covers for the table with KCDVTF logo
Display board
Sandwich boards for advertising

Joyce will seek out and locate the tri-fold advertising board which has been used in the past; her husband does silk-printing and his talents can be used to print information for sandwich boards and/or table covers; she will report at next board meeting
