Brochure Distribution Campaign: Calling all country churches or religious communities and inviting them to use available brochures about domestic violence and religion. The goal initially is to get information to women who are in abusive situations. The brochures have been most effective when placed in women's restrooms, as well as in public places in the church. The 1st 50 brochures (and holders) are free.

DV Housing Fund Campaign: Calling all county churches to create and sustain a monetary fund for domestic violence survivors and their children who are homeless. The fund would pay for temporary motel stays ($50 a night) when the DV shelter or emergency housing is unavailable. The fund might also be used to subsidize apartment application credit checks ($35), apartment rental deposit ($100-300), or utilities payments.

Kitsap County DV Summit Workshop: Plan and implement a workshop related to domestic or dating violence and religious issues. The Summit is scheduled for October 2 at the same facility as last year for the retreat (Crossroads Church). Faith break-out session is planned to focus attention on housing issues.

Faith Forum: Plan and implement a panel discussion related to domestic or dating violence and religious issues. Hosted by the YWCA of Kitsap County during October's Week Without Violence (typically the 3rd week in October). Proposed theme is "Dealing with the Reality of Domestic Violence in our Churches" . Typically, the audience for this forum is clergy and lay leaders. Panel discussion is focused on religious leaders describing their response to domestic violence situations involving parishioners - victims/survivors and abusers.

Power and Control Assessment Tool: Invite clergy and religious/faith leaders to join a working group that will create a tool to assess power and control dynamics when doing couples counseling.
